The trouble is, users often come posting how daw X is better than Studio One when it come's to performance yet fail to show evidence, screen casting their daw's for a like for like comparison and showing how they have configured Studio One's settings such as the number of core's being utliised for example, performance can also be influenced by the bios settings being used, and power saving feature's from there also. I'd rather would hope you would work on this problem and solve it, so that more people would use Studio One. So please mister Ahrendt, do not tell me it is not true. In the other programs mentioned ,the cpu strain is almost 50% less. It is not so that I can do nothing at all in Studio One, but using cpu intensitiv plug ins on a bus as H-Reverb or Ozone, puts too much strain on the cpu to work easily. Everyone needs some luck in life.Ĭoolbass wroteI am sorry, but here for me, it is very much true.Īnd I am a jazzmusician, so my projects are not extremely large. Anyway, Sonar performs much better for me.Īnd thank you, I wish you the same. If my system works well with Sonar, Cubase, PT and Samplitude, I think it is doubtful I have a system configuration problem.Īlso, do you have the latest Sonar Platinum? The progress during the last year is remarkable. I can't speak for the other programs, but I can speak for the two I know a lot about, and your claims are not the norm which leads me to believe you have a system configuration problem. Studio One is far better in stability, usability, tech support, CPU usage, handling of VST's, ARA implementation, well, almost everything they both do, Studio One does better and more efficiently. I used Sonar for over 15 years and there is no comparison. I can tell you, 100%, without doubt, that the problem you are seeing is not Studio One related.
#Cubase 4 studio upgrade update
I hope that in a later update these cpu problems of S1 vers 3 get solved and I can use it fully.īy the way, I thought my tone is and was perfectly fine.īub wrote coolbass wrote. I do not have the inclination or time to post test projects or screenshots, this is just some user feedback. On an older macbookpro I sometimes use for live recording, I still have S1 vers2 because it works so well and I can record and play without too much stress.
This made me decide not to use S1 for the upcoming projects. So it was that I discovered that the cpu strain was much higher in S1 than in the rest of the programs. S1 was the only program where I had to adjust my buffer settings of the audio interface I was using (Motu track16). In each program I used a reverb bus (H-reverb) and Ozone advanced 5 or 7 on the master buss. So I set up some audiotracks and some drumloops and recorded some tracks in PT, Sonar, Samplitude and Studio One. I was planning and wondering wich platform to use for some upcoming recordings and individual song projects.
#Cubase 4 studio upgrade upgrade
I bougt the upgrade to Notion 6 two days ago, because I was charmed by the integration in S1 and this could be very useful to me. I was just here to give some user feedback.
